Internship in Geriatric Nursing

Would you like to gain an insight into social occupations and experience in nursing and care for the elderly while you  are at school or college? An internship will help you decide whether geriatric  nursing is for you.

As an intern, you are integrated as a member of the team and can gain an impression of the multi-facetted and varied work that the job offers. You will have plenty of opportunity to ask questions and also to contribute your own ideas. Starting an internship is possible at any time and the duration is agreed according to your individual needs and interests.

Internships for school students

You are still at school and it’s time to think about what you will do when you have your certificate in your pocket. What sort of job do you plan to do? Perhaps you are considering a career in the social sector. The choice of occupation is one of the first major decisions in your life and so you need to seek information before making it.

An internship:

  • is a great opportunity to find out if working with the elderly is something you want to do
  • increases your chances of finding an apprenticeship
  • familiarizes you with day-to-day routine
  • enables you to start your training with more confidence.

As an intern, you can gain an impression of the occupation and learn about the varied activities that go on in a facility for the elderly. Our team will show you how to help residents in the daily lives e.g. body care. You take part in our daily events and activities from making music together to sport and memory training for the elderly.
